The best example here would be Penicillium, a fungus species which gives us Penicillin. Besides, microbes like Saccharomyces cerevisiae have been humans’ best buddies in brewing beer and baking bread.

Just like every other aspect of life, the microbial world has its own dark side. Pathogenic or disease-causing microbes have been a part of our evolutionary journey, and it is nearly impossible to eliminate them completely. However, a better comprehension of microbial mechanisms and pathogenesis can help us develop efficient countermeasures.

To conclude, these miniature marvels, though unseen, play a colossal role in shaping our health and environment. Their influence touches every aspect of our life, transcending biological barriers.
